Title: The cube that you should never touch
This project takes its inspiration from the renowned film 2001 a space odyssey. Inexplicable monoliths of varying sizes have surfaced throughout the solar system, and one appeared in my room. When I unlocked the door to my room, there it was – an enigmatic cube that defied my belief. I shut the door, and then reopened it, hoping it was just my hallucination. But no, it was undoubtedly there. As I approached the cube, I reached out to grab it, and that’s when everything changed. The cube attached itself to my hand and started to grow, trapping me inside. I could not escape.

Challenges
- The character moved so quickly when I pressed “WASD” in the play mode, and the camera kept moving and shaking with this character. I hope I could find a better way to change the camera movement as I wish, or switch between different cameras, for example having a camera for slow motion.
- I wished to make a true first-person camera in Unreal Engine like what the tutorial did and really see my hand picking up the cube. (Link) However, I couldn’t see my hand but kept seeing the left chest of the body when I rotated and placed the camera.
