For this exercise, I created a 3D model of my room using Rhino, incorporating furniture from 3D Warehouse to populate the space. After importing the model into Unreal Engine 5, I encountered several challenges related to materials and embedded textures, which led to unintended distortions. To resolve this, I opted for a clean, white model, stripping away all materials and textures to maintain clarity and focus on spatial composition.
This process highlighted the complexities of material translation between different software and the importance of a streamlined workflow when working across multiple platforms. Despite the challenges, it was an insightful introduction to integrating architectural models into Unreal Engine 5 and exploring its visualization capabilities.
